I will be delighted to have Tanya at Windycon. I hope that the wider Windycon audience will be as excited as the filk community, where we've had the priviledge of actually getting to know her as she's been to several of our nice friendly little cons. (I'm not really clear on how well recognized an author she is in fandom in general. Until her fateful first FKO appearance, I had never heard of her. After her reading, she was one of my favorite writers, and after a couple more cons she was one of my favorite people.)

On the one hand, I'm thrilled. On the other, I was hoping never to darken the doorstep of that atrocious hotel again. But I can't boycott Tanya, so I'll have to suck it up one more time. (Otherwise, this would have been both "first Windycon since they moved" and "last Windycon until they move again".)
