Let's Make an Escape

billroperI have now posited that there is an "escape room" theory of computer user-interface design. The object here is to hide the controls that are required to perform a particular function so that you must carefully search the entirety of the user-interface to find the correct menu selection or button to press to get your work done.
I am not sure why this is a good idea.
