It was a busy day of cleaning here. I had made arrangements with Gretchen to make a frontal assault on Julie's bedroom this morning and so we did. I moved things off of the floor and swept. This was followed by Gretchen mopping things up. Unfortunately, the motor on the Swiffer Wet Jet had frozen up, so the last had to be done without its aid.

The cleaning in Julie's bedroom triggered K to go clean *her* bedroom. I am told that things are much improved in there, although we still need to clean off the chair mat and send it back in there.

Meanwhile, I vacuumed the stairs. And I grabbed the hand vacuum and made an assault on Gretchen's sewing chair in the office, a place where Sunshine spent several months sleeping this year. It's not perfect, but there is *much* less cat hair on it and the rest will probably need to be removed with a lint brush, as it's in places where the vacuum can't reach.

In and around that, I did five loads of laundry, while Gretchen worked to clean up the kitchen.

And I installed the new Wireless Access Point in the office, so our upstairs Internet access has been restored. While messing with that and trying to get the Amazon Echo in the office to stream music again with the new Wi-Fi connection, I changed the wake=up word here to "Ziggy" and the accent to "British-1". I have now asked Ziggy, the nice young British lady to recite the U.S. Declaration of Independence. :)

Sounds pretty good. (A lot like Higgins on the new Magnum P.I. series that will be ending shortly, actually.)

Hey, I've got to amuse myself somehow...

I also spent some time on the phone with an old friend of mine who moved out of the area some years back. It was a fun conversation. He passed along some info that I'm hoping to be able to make use of, but that will need to wait until Monday when folks are back at work.

Oh, and I wanted to check something out on some old cassettes, but the only cassette deck in the house that is hooked up is down in the studio. And that cassette deck took one look at the C-90 that I'd popped in and refused to try to wind it forward. The rewind and fast-forward are fine, but not the play mechanism.

I am now trying to decide how badly I want a cassette deck in the studio. Probably not that badly.

And I am reminded that there are some ADAT transfers that I was supposed to do.

When I have some spare time. :)
