Time to Make the Coffee

The price of Diet Coke just went up 59% at my McDonald's today (about 65% after sales tax), which means that it's probably time that I start drinking a Diet Pepsi from my refrigerator in the morning. It's also probably time to get Gretchen and K to fire up the Keurig in the corner for their morning coffee.

Gretchen already knows how to make iced tea. We'll see what J has to say about that...

Guess your part of the country is different. Most franchises of that establishment I've been at recently, soda and regular coffee are part of the "Dollar Menu": any size for $1. And that was still the case when I got one today to battle the three-digit temps.

Yeah, out here in California the Mickey D's Dollar menu has soda and Iced tea.

OTOH, I nearly never buy coffee out. I use an old fashioned drip cone, a filter, good coffee, hot water and a cup. My spouse uses the Keurig when she makes it for me, but uses one of the "fill it yourself" k-cups. I WFH, so I don't have to buy coffee on my way to work.
