So it turns out that I've now got 500 MB of storage on something called FileCloud, courtesy of having Speakeasy as my ISP. And I was thinking that -- despite the fact that folks would actually have to go there to get them -- this might be a reasonable place to post MP3s of the scratch tracks for all of my songs.

Does this sound like a good idea? At the very least, it would be enough for folks to get an idea of what the music sounds like and to learn it, in combination with the lyrics and chord sheets that are already at Filker.com.

Or would it be the sort of thing that wouldn't really be of interest?

Yes please.

You could also put mp3s on the Filk Archive.

Scratch tracks would be lovely! 'Specially since [livejournal.com profile] min0taur has infected me with everyoneShouldPlayGuitaritis and I'm brushing off my years-rusty guitar skills, which has me constantly looking for interesting things to play, since I have the attention span of a gnat when I sit down to practice.

IT'S OF INTEREST.

I generally only get to hear you once a year or so. I don't want to wait that long to hear your new stuff.

As, for instance, that time-travel song you just posted...

It would definitely be of interest. And not just so I could work on harmonies.*grin*

Mmm... and since I almost NEVER get to hear you play, this os a lovely idea.
Not that learning the music does me any good, the only one of your songs I could EVER sing on key was "Mary O'Meara"

Does this sound like a good idea?

This is one of those trick questions, isn't it? Silly filker, of course it sounds like a good idea! You have many fans who would be delighted to hear whatever you care to share.

Would you want some copies of your out of print tape mp3s to add to that collection of music?

And, yes, I would definately be interested in hearing the scratch tracks.

OK. I do know I have Grim Roper backed on the computer. Since you don't have the rights, there went that idea....

What about songs on Wail Songs tapes?? I recall hearing thru a number of sources that you have the masters. (I know at least a few of your songs appear on those tapes. Those are still only on the tape and not as mp3 currently on my end.)
