I am *very* close to finishing the Dodeka taxes. Tonight, I dug through the piles and found the credit card statements that included the hotel bills and other travel expenses for 2020, which was only two cons worth. However, entering those into the spreadsheet wiped out what little profit we had. Then I reconciled the CD Baby statements with the actual receipts and sorted that out. By the time I was done, I had a small, but noticeable loss. This is a shame, because we have managed to never have to show a loss before for the year, but the truncated nature of the year and the short sales at the first (and last!) two cons of the year were just not helping at all.

I *still* have to go down and count the songbooks to get a final answer, but I keep putting that off, because it is a lot of drudgery for very little reward. It is *much* simpler to start going over the spreadsheets, nitpicking and flyspecking and making sure that there are no fossil transactions that need to be removed, because I've plugged one-shot occurrences into the spreadsheet. Oh, look! There's one. Let's get that out of here.

I flipped back to the summary page and started laughing hysterically.

Pending the reconciliation of the songbook inventory, Dodeka Records has shown a profit for the 2020 tax year.

Of 15 cents.

I should just stop now. I really should.
