Temperate Fugit
Mar. 4th, 2018 10:33 pmThe weather was in the forties today and sunny, which meant that the garage was warm enough for us to want to open it up to the sunshine and make another assault upon the mass that has accumulated on the side where Gretchen would normally park. Katie took the Christmas and Halloween decorations down to the basement where they will eventually be tucked away. Gretchen and I continued the assault on the mountain of cardboard boxes.
We have two old trash cans that predate the coming of the rolling carts for garbage and recycling. I pulled them down last week and filled each of them with flattened cardboard. We left them out with the recycling and -- happily! -- they were emptied along with the rest of the recycling.
Today, we filled them with flattened cardboard again. There are still more boxes that need to be reduced to flat flinders.
And that will happen at a later date.
In the meantime, the pile is greatly reduced. Heck, I can see the wooden pallet at the bottom of the debris field again.
