So Gretchen's van is still parked in the driveway. There are a great many things piled on her side of the garage, but the biggest offender is cardboard. There are boxes of all kinds that have been tossed there and which need to be disposed of and/or put away where they belong, although "where they belong" is becoming a bit of a challenge.

One of the things that has been in the garage for some years are the old Rubbermaid trashcans that we stopped using when they switched to the rolling carts. They were tucked up on a high shelf; I have pulled them down and filled the two of them with flattened and folded cardboard of various kinds.

The recycling goes out tomorrow. On Friday, we will see if they actually pick up the cardboard. They're supposed to. They even told me not to put cardboard in the regular recycling bin, because it tends to stick in there when they are emptied and the folks picking up the recycling have been known not to check to see if anything actually comes out of the recycling bin.

But we'll see...
