Texas!

We made it as far as Springfield, Missouri last night, where we found a Motel 6 and collapsed. Unfortunately, Julie was a bit wound up, so it took her a while to fall asleep. A long while.

This morning, we woke up, packed up, and discovered that we had left the house without my deodorant and daisy_knotwise's simethicone. Neither of these were something that we wanted to go without, so I stopped at a Wal-Mart and grabbed some. While I was there, I took advantage of our location to grab a fine selection of Cardinals apparel for Katie and Julie. There will be much cuteness shortly.

We cut the corner from Vinita down to DFW, which seems to be a bit faster than going through Oklahoma City. We've now checked into the hotel and are waiting for my sister Judy, her husband Gary, and their daughter Claire to arrive. They're coming across from Midland and should be here soon.
