It Flies!

I saw a link on Instapundit to a very cute little radio controlled helicopter on Amazon and ended up buying it. Katie and Julie are endlessly fascinated by it and want to fly it. Unfortunately, the controls are just a bit too complex for a four year old. (The package is labeled for fourteen years old and up. :) )

The problem is that you need to keep the throttle at the right level to keep the helicopter from going either up or down once you reach altitude. That's more challenging than you might expect...

Sounds like a pretty accurate design - or at least if my impressions of the complexity of flying rotary wing aircraft is correct.

It's been a bit too long since I played with any rotary wing simulators myself, not that they're always that accurate.
