The Angry Pharmacist

Via Instapundit, I find a blog that may be of interest to [livejournal.com profile] hsifyppah especially and perhaps to others who are reading this:

The Angry Pharmacist.

Attuned more to the U.S. experience, from the look of it, but...

I suspect most of it applies north of the border too. The current rant about the different forms of the same drug is spot-on.

Oh man, I thought I was a cranky lady, but that is too angry for me to handle. I agree with some of what he or she says, but I just want to put on a Mr. Rogers cardigan and ask if there is a more productive way to express it.

Although the hallowe'en dilaudid tree is pretty cute. :)

I actually like Drugmonkey, whose subtitle is "Your Pharmacist May Hate You" better. Still peeved at all of the problems with US pharmacy in particular and health-care "system" in general, but not quite as much of it directed at the customers.

The directed at customers part is what was really off-putting for me, yeah. I know I'm kind of a pharmacy pollyanna, but that is really foreign to how I approach my job. People come to the pharmacy when they are sick or hurt or worried and generally not at their best. I think even inside your head it's better to approach it with a spirit of compassion than to, like, call them crackheads.

I'm not a pharmacist, but more than a little of his rant makes sense to me.
