daisy_knotwise went to Trader Joe's today and because she did not recently get any of
samwinolj's lemon squares, she decided to buy a very nice looking lemon tart that said on it "No preservatives". I had a slice of it for dessert tonight and -- from the way I feel -- I conclude that "No preservatives" is a flexible target of some sort, because I'm pretty sure that the lemon juice that they used in the tart contained sulfites.
Sulfites, of course, are a preservative that I'm quite allergic to.

lot of sulfites. And I'll be eating
very carefully for the next little bit.
What a nice way to end what has been a very annoying day. *sigh*

Sulfites, not sulfates. The latter give a lot of people problems, but I've not heard of problems with sulfates. And sulfites are what's in the dried coconut, unless you get the special sulfite-free stuff that
The bad words on a label are: sulfite, bisulfite, metabisulfite, and sulfur dioxide. They all mean "Do not eat". :)
How are you with wine? (Which also contains sulfites.)

Yes, all those words on labels make me cringe. Wines also cause headaches, yes.
