Sulfites, not sulfates. The latter give a lot of people problems, but I've not heard of problems with sulfates. And sulfites are what's in the dried coconut, unless you get the special sulfite-free stuff that [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise picked up for me at Whole Foods.

The bad words on a label are: sulfite, bisulfite, metabisulfite, and sulfur dioxide. They all mean "Do not eat". :)

How are you with wine? (Which also contains sulfites.)
