Non-Political Eruptions

It seems that Mount St. Helens is considering erupting again.

For pictures of the event when it happens, click here -- at least for as long as the webcam survives. :)

Time difference Heather, just went it's 5 in the morning there and after looking at the different pictures I conclude that it's still night there. Sunrise is at 6:30 (give or take a few minutes) I won't be in then. Must remember to look when I get in from work.

me, too. So far, every time I've gone to look at the volcanocam, its been at a time when it was Night there.
I've got it bookmarked now, though, and I'll try to remember to look at it when i get in from work.

So far I just see a blank, and the sun's been up for about an hour here (I'm now living in the Seattle area, so Mount St. Helens and I share the sunrise time).

Slightly better now. When I first posted, it was literally interference -- no picture, just video noise. Now there's a lot of smoke, but I can see a bare outline of mountain. 11:09 EDT, 8:09 local.

OK, 4:30 ish my time, cool, a picture. I really hope it doesn't blow, that would be bad for all the people living there. there is a tiny part of me that's thinking "It wold be SO COOL, to be on line and watching if it did blow" In the spring I watch Falcons, now I'm watching a volcano, ain't technology a wonder!
