Meanwhile, Back In the Studio

It's amazing how much more sound you get on your recording when you turn on the stinking microphones. This was the last of my misadventures for the evening, which included a stuck microphone cable, a shorted out microphone, and a remote control with low batteries for which I need to go back and read the manual.

Other than that, we're all fine here. :)

Aw, man. I have done that, as you well know.

Mmmm. My favorite "stupid recording trick" is still leaving the monitors on while recording another take. (I'm wearing headphones; how am I supposed to know? :-) )

OOPS... Does this mean we shall see a new Cd from you in the near future? (Other than my current project?)

It cannot be as embarrassing to do that in the studio, more or less by yourself, than it is to do the same thing several times during a live, coast-to-coast (OK live half-way to the west coast and then delayed by 1 to 3 hours) broadcast; as happened during last night's Tony Awards.

Or at least from my living room that is what it sounded like was happening.

You also get amazing photos when you take the lens cap off the camera.
