Finding the Bugs

I'm going home soon. I really am.

On the other hand, I've found the most remarkable collection of gaps in the code where things didn't quite get finished in the right way as I moved from one part of the program to another, adding all of the support for this feature. If I was the Little Dutch Boy, I'd be running out of digits to put in the dike.

But it's getting better.

Do you at least get to blame someone else for the bugs or are they your fault?

These are my bugs, but they're really spots where I had written a lot of code that couldn't be tested. When I finally had the entire machine together and turned the crank, I started finding places where routines had been stubbed out, or I needed something to work a little differently because the design had drifted, or...
