A Successful Christening

A good time was had by all. Mary, our pastor, performed a lovely ceremony for the baptism. The conversation was good and lively. Many pictures were taken by a variety of photographers, some of which will surface here later when I have time to sort through them. [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise ordered more food than we could all eat from Mr. Beef and Pizza, so the fridge and freezer are now full of leftovers. Kate was held by a great many people and was extraordinarily well behaved -- of course, now she's ready to party all night.

But we'll try to talk her out of that.

I'm glad you all had such a wonderful day. Christenings/Baptisms are such special times. We had our children baptised at 3 months (Alex), 7 months (Seamus) and then 3 months (Isobeal). They were all lovely experiences. The last two the babies got to wear a baptism gown handmade by Gram [livejournal.com profile] tutoto13's mom and they were baptised by the same pastor.

Blessings on you and your family and many warm wishes for a blessed life with your new lovely daughter.

here's my official request for a CD copy (or DVD, if required) of the photos from that day.

Your daughter is beautiful, and was a damn good sport about getting water dumprd on her head.
