Out of Africa

The New York Times reports on an article in Science where genetic research suggests that non-African humans are all descended from a group of a few hundred who left Africa 65,000 years ago to travel to India, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Their descendants later colonized Europe and the rest of the planet.
