K has been stalling about taking the road test to get her driver's license for some time. However, she needs a better ID to fly to and from New York shortly with for the high school choir/band trip, having turned 18. This meant that it was time to go ahead and bite the bullet.

I got up at oh-dark-thirty to get an appointment for the exam. That done, I alerted everyone that we were go. K went into school to get a copy of her transcript to use as part of the ID process. I then picked her up for a previously schedule podiatrist visit, followed by lunch, followed by the trip to the DMV. Things actually moved reasonably efficiently. K was eventually called for the test, passed it, and then I dropped her back at school for the rehearsal for the upcoming trip. :)

I have now been alerted that Julie probably also needs a better ID for the flight. She, however, has not taken driver's training yet, so I'm going to have to get an appointment to get her a state ID.

This is a project for next week.
