I Can't Believe I Ate the Whole Thing

According to this article the white dwarf companion in EF Eridanus has sucked away so much of the mass of the originally normal star that accompanies it that the other star can no longer sustain fusion.

No one is yet quite sure what to call an object of this kind, since it's the first one that's actually been observed.
