Amy managed to preserve the secret until about a week before we had her. If they tell you in later scans that they won't be able to tell, don't believe them - they *might not* be able to tell but there's no guarantee that they won't (I had one ultrasound woman tell me it was impossible to tell at these late scans and then when I asked her again 2 weeks later it was not a problem, so that boiled down to her not wanting to look the previous time because she wanted to go have her belated lunch).
