Holy Crap

I did not win the $900 million plus Powerball jackpot tonight.

Neither did anyone else.

Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is now an estimated $1.3 billion.

If it makes you feel any better, $10 of the jackpot you win on Wednesday will have come from my tickets, and probably another $20.

I asked on Thursday what happens on all those billboards with three digit displays ... I guess we'll see #ER or ERR ... :)

I won the standard item I usually win.. A piece of paper with some numbers printed on it. (in other words, I did not get my $2 back.)

A few folks at yesterday's BSFS meeting promised, should they hit the jackpot, to donate a portion of their winnings to Balticon.

The one where I bought mine today reads 999. I don't think they are automated. Someone has to enter something into them.

I used to say that if I won, I'd buy a private railroad car and a siding (and building for it). With the jackpot as high as it is, I could probably buy an entire railroad.

The way to make a small fortune in short-line railroads is to start with a large fortune, of course.
