Hanging It Up
Since we repainted the walls several years ago (pre-COVID), I have been derelict about rehanging the artwork that used to cover most every wall in the house. Gretchen has been suggesting for a while now that I would probably be happier if I did something about this (which is true), but it takes motivation.
This weekend, after hanging the artwork near the pinball machine, I decided that it was time to get started on this project. (Not finished! Not *nearly* finished!) But I hung the Erin McKee galaxy and ruins back in the place it had been in the living room, then the Heather Bruton blue jay griffin that had graced a Windycon t-shirt some years ago in the hallway between the dining room and family room. Today, K helped me hang a fantasy piece by an artist named Adams in the stairwell where it had formerly been. Then I hung several pieces in new-to-them locations, putting a Joe Bergeron space shuttle on one wall of the dining room, with two Frank Liltz astronomicals on the walls adjacent to the computer in the corner. Finally, I hung a Nene Thomas print that Gretchen likes in the hallway where it is what you see when you walk in the door from the garage.
There is a lot more art to be hung (some of which will need to be disassembled and cleaned first, which will slow down the process), but this is progress.
